Our Favorite Models Get Perfected for the 2015 Model Year

Towards the end of each year, automobile manufacturers begin announcing their offerings for the upcoming model year. Chrysler continues this trend with plans for the upcoming 2015 model year, covering not only the Chrysler brand but Dodge and Jeep as well.

Chrysler's plans for their namesake brand include updates to the 300, 300C, and the Town and Country. Specific changes for the Chrysler 300 and Chrysler 300C were not announced, however plans are underway to unveil a refreshed 300 at the upcoming LA Auto Show in November. As for the Chrysler Town & Country, the company announced that it would have two new trim levels to choose from. The LX is considered to be the new base and the Platinum is top of the line.

A whole host of changes are also planned for the Dodge model line. The Dodge brand is one of Chrysler's most iconic, and the attention to detail they have given these vehicles can clearly be seen on their 2015 models.

The 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan has a new Plus Package available for both the SXT and SE. This package takes the connectivity, convenience, and an appearance package found on the previous year's models and kicks them up a notch.

The 2015 Dodge Journey features an exterior with several new color finishes available. On the inside, the option of including the Traffic and Travel Link from satellite radio provider Sirius XM is just one of the options that can be chosen.

The Rallye and Blacktop appearance packages available on the new 2015 Dodge Durango have been upgraded. Also available on the 2015 Durango are the new options to include Red Nappa leather, an audio system upgrade featuring technology from famed music company Beats, as well as the Uconnect Access system.

Lastly, the iconic Viper gets a five horsepower bump to the overall engine power compared to the previous year's model. Also improved are the gas mileage and the interior.

On the Jeep side of things, the first of the 2015 Jeep Models, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, has undergone a multitude of changes. On the Grand Cherokee Summit model, both the windshield and the second-row side glass are acoustic so that the amount of noise that makes it inside the Grand Cherokee is reduced. To lower the road noise even further Active noise cancellation is also available.

The appearance of the Grand Cherokee can be changed by upgrading to the California Edition, or by choosing the Argentine Tan leather for the interior. For those looking for a bit more power, the Grand Cherokee SRT is specifically designed to have high-performance as well as many of the options mentioned above. The special edition Red Vapor package can take the looks of the Grand Cherokee to the next level.

The Grand Cherokee has had more than it's looks updated. The engine on the Grand Cherokee comes with engine stop-start technology (ESS), on the models that have a V-6 3.2-liter engine. ESS is a system designed to save fuel when the vehicle would otherwise be idling, thereby increasing overall fuel efficiency. The safety systems on the Grand Cherokee have been overhauled as well.
